Microdermabrasion, superficial chemical peels, and facials are fast, economical, no-downtime procedures that revive your skin. They remove dead skin cells and stimulate the growth of new cells.
This results in a better result as well as leaving you hydrated, not dry or peeling as with conventional microdermabrasion.
A chemical peel is the application of a chemical substance like glycolic acid (AHA) or salicylic acid (BHA) that gently exfoliates the surface. A chain of chemical peel treatments improves the appearance of superficial lines and irregular pigmentation while making your skin look softer, smoother, and more radiant. The treatments also open pores and reduce acne breakouts.
Just how do I know if I want one of these treatments? If you want to economically achieve healthy skin, you may consider microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and facials. These procedures are specifically effective against sunspots, sun damage, enlarged pores, and acne scars, and operate well on skin that is dry, aged, or oily. All our procedures are suitable for all skin types, including tanned and skin of color.
Girls who are pregnant should not have a medical facial. Pregnant girls may have chemical peels that contain just glycolic acid (Gel Peel GL).
How do these treatments work? First your skin is cleansed and then the chemical peel is used in a thin layer. The peel is left on for 5 minutes, during which you may feel a burning sense. This discomfort is minimized by a flow of cold air during treatment.
What benefits can I expect? After a series of treatments you can expect improvement in general appearance in addition to in sunspots, sun damage, enlarged pores, acne scars, and dryness. Your skin will even seem less aged and greasy. We recommend three sessions two weeks apart and maintenance treatments every 4 to 12 weeks. You may see improvement after each treatment.
What are the risks and side effects? Tell your technician if you've got diabetes, autoimmune disease, history of cold sores, or filler injected into the area to be treated. No other preparation is required.
Downtime, flaking, peeling, and redness are minimal with the chemical peels used by Lipstick Empire LaserSpa. Minor redness, skin sensitivity, and skin tightness generally last no longer than a day. Flaking and irritation may occasionally remain for up to five days. Your skin will feel smoother and softer and you may feel little stinging, burning, or itching during this time. With other kinds of chemical and laser peels, side effects may continue up to a couple of weeks.
Prior to treatment all possible hazards and side effects will be discussed with you by your Laser Technician and Medical Aesthetician.
The treated area is cleansed and sunblock applied. Your skin is generally normal promptly after a light chemical peel, microdermabrasion, or medical facial. There isn't any specific post treatment care for microdermabrasion or facials. Your skin may be slightly red or it may pare for 1 to 2 days and rarely 5 days after chemical peel treatment. Skin may also feel tighter and smoother with a tiny sting or itch. During this time you'll be able to care for your skin with a light non-abrasive cleanser.
Are there other means to get precisely the same effect? Yes. Laser photo-rejuvenation or resurfacing, external skincare products, camouflage makeup, and other sorts of microdermabrasion are alternatives. Laser treatments create better results but are more expensive and have more potential side effects.
Can this be combined with other treatments? Yes. Microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and facials can each be combined with other treatments we offer.
