Sublime Skin Contouring
Sublime Skin Contouring by Syneron was formerly called ReFirme. The sublime combines laser light energy and radio frequency energy to stimulate the creation of new collagen. The areas most commonly treated are the eyes, brow lines, cheeks, jawline and neck.
Just how do I know if I need Sublime?
If you've got loose, sagging and wrinkled skin on your jowls, neck, cheeks, and forehead then Sublime would be an excellent tissue tightening option. Moreover, lax skin on the eyelids, a heavy brow, or upper eyelid drooping, together with lax stomach skin, upper arm skin, or lax buttocks or thighs may benefit from this treatment. In some instances we also discover clients with superficial acne scars, rough skin feel, and mild to moderate superficial wrinkles can gain development with these treatments.
You must not undergo Sublime treatments if you are pregnant or have been on Accutane within the previous 6 months. If you have a pacemaker, internal defibrillator, or metal implants you may not have radio frequency treatments. If you are diabetic, have auto-immune disease, have recently been treated with chemotherapy, or are over 65, you may want more treatments due to potential slow collagen production. Clients with a history of HSV (cold sores) may have a flare up after a treatment.
How does Sublime work?
The Sublime from Syneron unites infrared light (700-2000nm) with bipolar conducted radio frequency. The combination of light energy and radio frequency energy is used to deeply heat layers of the skin while protecting the surface of the skin concurrently. Medium to deep heating of the skin activates fibroblasts indicating new collagen to form and existing collagen to tighten. This will cause immediate collagen contraction as well as new collagen production which will occur over a 4-6 month period.
What advantages can I expect?
In many clients a certain but modest to moderate progress in the area treated is expected. For facial procedures and determined by the areas being treated you can anticipate a more toned central cheek place, and a firmer, less lax neck. Fine lines and wrinkles may also be improved and this treatment will leave you with a smoother and more uniform complexion. For best results we do propose 3 treatments at monthly intervals. A follow up consultation will be performed 6 months post treatment and maintenance treatments are usually recommended every 6 months.
What are the dangers and side effects?
Short-term immediate dangers include redness at the site being treated, although this typically dissipates before you leave or within a few hours. Swelling may also occur and could last for a couple of days to a week. The treatment area may also become briefly white (blanching) following a treatment. Blanching typically resolves within 24 hours. The potential other side effects are bruising, skin wound, disease and scarring, hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation, and surface irregularities.
Prior to treatment all potential hazards and side effects will be discussed with you by your technician.
Sublime may be slightly uncomfortable during treatment but this should not persist after treatment. This is a no downtime treatment and you should have the ability to return to your activities and work the same day. Your skin may seem to be slightly reddish or slightly swollen after the procedure but makeup and sunscreen may be applied immediately. The redness and swelling should dissipate within several hours and rarely lasts longer than that. Cooling of the surface of the skin will supply enhanced security in addition to added relaxation throughout the treatment.
Is there another way to get precisely the same effect?
The main alternatives to Empyrean treatments are surgical (blephroplasty or eyelift, face lift and other surgical skin tightening options), Non-surgical options for example injectable fillers, Neurotoxins, for example BOTOX® Cosmetic and Dysport, and the Pan G™ Lift (muscle stimulation device) will additionally provide results similar to Sublime.
Can this be combined with other treatments?
This treatment may be combined with other treatment approaches or may be done separately. Neurotoxins, such as BOTOX® Aesthetic or Dysport, and injectable fillers are commonly united to attain a more dramatic effect than by itself.
